- Born in San Diego, a Navy brat until I was 4, grew up in Southern California under the terrible social stigma of being an intelligent brunette. Skipped sixth grade, survived seventh and eighth, managed to liven up my high school days by joining the Speech and Debate Team. Continued on with that during two pointless years of junior college. I have no college degree, just some brutal retail sales skills honed while selling chain mail armor to tourists at the Agoura Ren Faire in 100+ degree heat. Member of SFWA, RWA, refugee from HWA, and the owner of a newly discovered propensity for haiku (in English).
